How did you experience war in 2014? What do you remember from that? How old were you? How did 2014-2015 go for you? Please tell this story in detail.
The war in 2014 remains in my memory in fragments
I was 14 years old
I very clearly remember how I went out on the balcony to hang laundry and at the level of my window - this is the eighth floor - a gyrodyne flew by, in which there was a soldier with a machine gun in his hands
He moved his weapon past me, as if looking through the scope of a machine gun at everything around
It seems to me now that I remember the beginning of this, everything else is very blurry
My mother was always very worried when I went out
We heard explosions in nearby towns when we went to the market for food. And also just when staying at home
We saw flashes from the balcony at night, when other cities were shelled
"Where were you these 8 years?". How has this time passed for you, what changed
in your life since the events of 2014? What has influenced you the most during this time? Please write in detail.
During these 8 years, I have been to many places and constantly changed the cities where I lived
In 2015, I studied in the ninth grade and decided that after its completion, I would go to study to become a choreographer. Because it was the main profession for me.
From 2015 to 2019, I studied in Belgorod
But I was always drawn home to Ukraine
And I went to Kharkiv almost every weekend
After my studies, I moved to Kharkiv
For 3 months
I finished studies to become a DJ and decided that this profession is very important for me now
Then I returned to my native Druzhkivka, got to know Shum.rave
And it gave me an push for action and new opportunities
We started cooperating and I realized that I want to find out for myself how everything is arranged here (in the region and the country), already when I become more mature
Then the lockdown began and I ended up in Poland
But already in 3 months I returned and moved to Odessa
In 2020, I moved to Mariupol
And until March 17, 2022, I lived permanently in this city
The biggest influence in these 8 years for me now I consider getting to kow Shum.rave
With the TU platform
And many other very interesting people and their projects
Which are all created in my native region
It seems to me that it was very important to leave in order to understand, upon return,
that it is actually much better at home
I am very glad that I had the opportunity to see with my own eyes how Mariupol is changing
And I am very hurt and upset by understanding that I do not know when I will be able to return there
Як ви зустріли 24 лютого 2022 року? Чи вірили в те, що повномасштабний наступ почнеться? Де ви зараз? Чим займаєтесь? Що думаєте про своє майбутнє зараз?
February 24, 2022 started for me with a call from Zhenya Skrypnyk (director of Shum) at around 6:44 a.m. ~ "Dasha, wake up, the war has begun"
To which I replied: "Zhenya, have you seen what time it is? I have to go to work today, I'm going to sleep"
But already after that I heard the first explosion
And through the dream I thought it was a port (we lived right next to the port), but the explosions repeated more often. The house began to shake, so panic and tears followed.
I didn't believe it
And when Ilya told me
"Dash, look for something to leave by
Pack your things, we're going"
I refused and said that everything would pass in a short time
Unfortunately, we did not find anyone who could take us with the animals
So we stayed in the city until March 17
Now I live in Ivano-Frankivsk
I don't think about the future yet, to be honest
Plus it is very difficult to do something now
